For over 10 years, I’ve been unfortunately cursed with most women’s worst nightmare- cellulite. From creams to treatments to workouts, I’ve tried everything and nothing helped me get rid of it, nothing permanent to say the least.

After the torment of pinching I tolerated during “cellulite massages”, and a lot of money down the drain, I almost gave up.
Cue Skinnyfox’s Coconut Coffee Scrub, I remember about five years ago, during my lazy endless hours of teenage TV binge watching, an episode of The Doctors promoted coffee ground as an awesome method to get rid of cellulite, it sat in the back of my head, listed as one of the things I have to do, and I simply let it be.’You Make Me Coco’ was introduced to me during Instagram’s craze-phase of natural remedies that help the beauty world. I already had tried their tea, Skinny Fox Detox -find the review here and was hoping I’d get the same results out of the scrub.
A sachet costs $22 and promises to be your answer to all your skin problems. The scrub claims it reduces the appearance of scars, stretch marks, psoriasis, cellulite, varicose veins, eczema, and acne.

The scrub’s ingredients include Coffea Robusta (Caffeine), which is the most important element of the scrub. The caffeine helps reduce redness by constricting blood vessels, while also working as a diuretic and helps in blood circulation. Other ingredients are Orange peel (which has Vitamin C), and Coconut Oil (Vitamin E), which enhances the skin-nourishing properties.

Every shower consisted of a pre-shower body brushing routine, followed by using You Make Me Coco in the shower. One thing you must note -which you don’t want to experience first hand- is that if you want to shave in the shower, make sure you use the scrub BEFORE. Otherwise, you’re in for the worst burning sensation of a lifetime.

The scrub lasted me longer than expected, it’s not that a little goes a long way, it’s just that you underestimate how much is in there. A month or so into using it and combining it with the dry brush, a healthy lifestyle, and making sure my problematic areas were never dry, there was a noticeable decrease in the amount of cellulite I had. My skin was a lot smoother, and my thighs got some new confidence.

However, keep in mind, if you do go a little astray, the cellulite does return!
