A couple of weeks back I was thrilled to be invited by Stylist magazine to be a “Style Influencer” for their collaboration with Gap. The collaboration was for the #DressNormal campaign, which hosted Stylist readers alongside Style Influencers in a fun in-store event. The campaign celebrated the love of a closet staple that’s been around forever and is here to remain- Denim. Guests enjoyed customizing old and new Gap jeans, alongside interacting with in-store style advisors to find the perfect fit, shape and color. In true spirit, I showed up to the event in my favorite Gap jeans, they’re as comfortable as leggings, yet stylish enough to be paired with either heels or a pair of kicks. I also brought along a new pair of Gap jeans to style and customize.

At the event, there were tons of stations to customize jeans according to the visitors preference. You name it, they had it. From a “ripping station” – for those addicted to ripped jeans, to painting ion jeans, sewing on initials, and adding cool accessories.

I was excited to get my jeans ripped at first, as most of everyone else at the event, but I decided on trying something a little different, and had a lovely lady who was amazing with her sewing skills help me add some spikes to the pack pocket of my new jeans.
