Claw BBQ Crabshack & Grill Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Its not everyday that you go out and ride a bull, but Dubai has it all and it doesn’t stop impressing. This time my friend and I headed down to Claw, located in Souq Al Bahar, for a fun weekend meal.

Ok, if you do head down there on a weekend, please note- parking is hell! We were in the parking for 25 minutes until we luckily managed to find a spot, but then again, it kind of is logical with all the restaurants and lounges in Souq Al Bahar.
We found our way to the entrance to find ourselves welcomed by two cheery hostesses and a whole load of quirky decorations and neon lights.
The menu had an american vibe to it, with a lot of what sounded like jumbo sized servings.
For the starters, my friend decided to go for a portion of non-alcoholic beer battered onion rings, while I went ahead and ordered a plate of “peel-n-eat” shrimps. The onions were great, they were pretty huge, crunchy and tasty. As for the shrimps, the description on the menu was vague on how they’d be served, so I wasn’t enthused to have gotten them served on ice, however, the traditional sauce served with them made them pleasant.
We also ordered a couple of drinks suggested by the waitress herself. The “Strawberry Lemonade” was nicely mixed to give both a sweet and sour taste, however, the “Frozen Apple Pie” had a pretty strong cinnamon taste, so I couldn’t go through more than half of it.
With not much food in our system my friend and I were pretty keen on trying out Claw’s famous mechanical bull. To add to the fun, a couple of cowboy hats and jackets were lined up on the side to spice up the ride.
Jumping back to the table, for our mains, my friend and I shared a “Wagyu Rib Eye” steak served with a baked potato and delicious grilled shrimps, and a “Classic Hamburger”, with added toppings of mushroom, beef bacon, grilled onions, and American cheese, which had the burger taste extra juicy, the way we like it. The Wagyu was disappointingly dry, although it was very tender, but it would have been a hit if there were sauce options.
Though we struggled to go through our mains (good portions), we could not resist having a little dessert. However, to my surprise when I asked for the dessert menu, they said that they don’t have one. Nevertheless, the waitress knew each dessert offered and told us our options. We ended up sharing a chocolate brownie with ice cream, again recommended by the waitress.

Although the experience was a mix of good and bad, I’d definitely go back to Claw for their upbeat weekend ambience and for the best onion rings I’ve ever had!
